An old interview of Jung Kyung Ho expressing his affection for girlfriend Choi Sooyoung is once again gaining attention.
In a past interview, Jung was asked what he considers the other pillar of his life outside of acting. “It’s such an obvious answer, but the center of my life outside of acting is Sooyoung,” he said sincerely.
He added, “Honestly, sometimes I think I might even be acting because of her. I want to be seen in a good light, to show her that I’m a good person and a good actor.”
He continued, “What makes me happiest outside of acting is seeing Sooyoung happy. We’ve been together for a long time, and I see her the most. We were able to last this long thanks to her patience. I used to make a lot of mistakes—like drinking too much—but I don’t do that anymore,” he added with a laugh.
When asked about the importance of having a life partner who’s been with him for so long, Jung said, “It means a lot. Maybe it’s because we’ve shared the same dream of becoming good actors since the beginning.”
Jung Kyung Ho and Sooyoung publicly confirmed their relationship in January 2014 after paparazzi photos of them on a date were released. The couple has now been together for 12 years and is frequently seen enjoying dates or showing support for each other’s projects with coffee trucks. They also made headlines after being spotted vacationing together in Australia.
