Hierarchy (6/7)
Netflix’s June new release is Hierarchy, a teen drama set in a prestigious private high school. The story unfolds as a transfer student, selected as part of the noblesse oblige program, enters a private school attended only by children from the upper class. This reminds us of the Spanish drama Elite, which achieved worldwide success and gained popularity with its fast-paced plot and shocking exposure to the desires of teenagers. Hierarchy is expected to unfold with a conflict narrative that incorporates Korean themes such as school violence. Can this Korean-style class society story centered on teenagers captivate viewers? However, some have already expressed fatigue in seeing this type of story again.
