Lee Jin Wook may be teaming up with YoonA in his next drama.

His agency BH Entertainment confirmed July 15 that the actor has received an offer to star in the Korean remake of Unnatural and is reviewing it positively.

The original Japanese series, which aired on TBS in 2018, follows forensic pathologists investigating the truth behind suspicious deaths. It earned praise in both Japan and South Korea for its tight writing and gripping mysteries.

The remake will be directed by Park Yoo Young, known for ENA’s The Kidnapping Day and Ms. Incognito.

YoonA has already been confirmed as lead forensic pathologist Im Do Eun of the Unnatural Death Investigation Institute. The character, originally played by Satomi Ishihara, is known for her bright smile and inner strength.

Cha Kang Yoon is also joining the cast as Kang Ji Sung, a medical student assigned to the National Forensic Service as a public service worker.

Cha debuted in tvN’s The Midnight Romance in Hagwon in 2024 and has since appeared in Resident Playbook and Head Over Heels. He also played Ryu Seung Ryong’s son in The Dream Life of Mr. Kim.

This year, Cha will take on his first leading role in TVING’s Proxy Exam (literal title), playing Kang Gun Tae, a top-ranked student at an elite Gangnam high school whose past draws him into an illegal exam scheme.
