Netflix has released the first character stills and actor profiles for its highly anticipated upcoming series Our Sticky Love, giving fans a sneak peek at what’s to come.

Premiering on August 7th, the romantic comedy follows Go Eun Sae (played by Ha Young), an ambitious prosecutor who loses her memory after an accident. She wakes up in a rural clinic to find Jang Tae Ha (Jung Hae In), a former boxer turned gang member, who claims to be her boyfriend.

Jung Hae In plays Jang Tae Ha, a mysterious boxing coach who claims to be Eun Sae’s boyfriend. He described Tae Ha as a “ride-or-die boyfriend,” saying, “What makes him special is that he does everything he can to protect the person he loves, while also having a cute and awkward charm.” Jung added that he focused on capturing the character’s emotional journey, from his days as a struggling boxer to becoming a powerful figure, as he faces inner conflicts after reuniting with Go Eun Sae.

Ha Young is also gaining attention for her role as Go Eun Sae. New stills show her waking up injured in a countryside hospital with no memories of her past. Before losing her memory, she was Go Ji Won, a determined prosecutor who got caught up in a mysterious accident while investigating a crime group.

“Go Ji Won was someone who was always rushing toward her goals,” Ha Young said. “But after losing her memory and everything she had, she gets a chance to rediscover who she truly is. Through the love and support she receives from Jang Tae Ha and the people around her, she slowly heals and grows. That’s why I found myself cheering for her.”

Adding more tension to the story is Baek Sang Gil (Heo Sung Tae), the powerful leader of a crime group connected to Tae Ha. Sang Gil has erased his past and started a new life under a different identity, but his cold gaze reveals his true nature. After believing he had gotten rid of Prosecutor Go Ji Won, the only person who could expose him, he discovers she is still alive and begins chasing after her.

“Baek Sang Gil is the kind of character who creates tension the moment he appears,” Heo Sung Tae said. “I focused on showing the contrast between his polite, calm image on the outside and his dark true nature underneath. I wanted to portray his cruel side in a cold and calculated way while keeping him controlled and composed.”

Director Kim Jang Han praised Jung Hae In, saying, “Jung Hae In was the perfect actor for Jang Tae Ha. The role needed someone who could balance strength, romance, and a charmingly awkward side. He showed great versatility, naturally switching between romantic comedy and intense action scenes.”

The director also praised the rest of the cast. “Ha Young brought so much warmth, humor and emotion to the role. She turned a character who could have been difficult to like into someone truly lovable,” he said. “For Baek Sang Gil, we needed an actor who could show the complexity behind a typical villain. Heo Sung Tae added his own depth and ideas to the character, making him feel even more real on screen.”

Our Sticky Love will stream exclusively on Netflix starting Friday, August 7th.
