Kim Soo Hyun announced his return by sharing a photo on his personal social media on July 15th.
The day before, he took part in a commercial shoot for Filipino fashion brand BENCH, marking his first official schedule in about one year and four months since stepping away from the spotlight following a personal controversy involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron.
Industry insiders believe Kim Soo Hyun’s return to acting could be coming soon. According to reports, he has already received scripts for more than 40 drama and film projects and is currently considering his next role.
There is also growing interest in whether his Disney Plus series Knock Off, which has been shelved indefinitely, will finally be released.
Meanwhile, Jung Hae In has shown support for his longtime friend and fellow “88z” member as Kim Soo Hyun returns to public activities.
On July 14th, Filipino fashion brand BENCH announced Kim Soo Hyun’s return as its model by sharing a photo of the actor with the message, “We are happy to be reunited with the Bench family.” The post quickly gained attention as it marked one of Kim Soo Hyun’s first public appearances since his hiatus.

Jung Hae In later “liked” the post, which caught the attention of fans. Although it was not a post shared directly by Kim Soo Hyun, many saw Jung Hae In’s action as a sign of support for his friend’s comeback.
The gesture drew even more attention because of their close friendship. The two actors became close after appearing together on the MBC variety show Good Day and were known as members of the “88z” friend group.
When Kim Soo Hyun paused his activities amid the controversy and was reportedly edited out of Good Day, some online users asked Jung Hae In to unfollow him. However, Jung Hae In continued to follow Kim Soo Hyun on social media and showed quiet support, including liking posts related to his comeback.
