Jung Hae In and Ha Young are back with the kind of addictive rom-com comfort viewers know and love.
Netflix’s upcoming series Our Sticky Love follows Go Eun Sae (Ha Young), a prosecutor who loses her memory, and Jang Tae Ha (Jung Hae In), a boxing coach who insists he is her boyfriend.
The newly released teaser poster shows Jang Tae Ha and Go Eun Sae in Gujin Yeot Village, a quiet small town known for Korean taffy. The tagline, “No past, no proof. He’s her only cure!” teases what awaits Go Eun Sae after she loses all her memories and follows Jang Tae Ha, the man claiming to be her boyfriend, to the village.
The teaser offers a glimpse of their suspicious first meeting. Go Eun Sae makes a striking entrance in a sports car, introducing herself with, “I’m Prosecutor Go Ji Won from the Anti-Corruption Department,” raising questions about who she was before losing her memory.
The tension builds as Go Eun Sae appears to be on the run, followed by Jang Tae Ha with a dark aura and a secret order from mob boss Baek Sang Gil (Heo Sung Tae).
Then the mood flips.
Go Eun Sae wakes up in a hospital with amnesia, unidentified and with even her fingerprints impossible to verify. When Jang Tae Ha appears before her and drops the bombshell, “You don’t know who I am? I’m your boyfriend,” their unusual connection begins to unfold.
Even without her memories, Go Eun Sae’s standards seem fully intact. She refuses to believe that the scruffy-looking Jang Tae Ha could possibly be her boyfriend. She also cannot make sense of his claim that she first met him in the mountains and then relentlessly pursued him.
“So, put simply, I’m in a sticky mess,” she says, adding humor to her pitiful confusion as she finds herself in a strange situation with no memories and no trace of her past.
Whether Jang Tae Ha really is Go Eun Sae’s boyfriend or whether his claim is all a lie remains to be seen.
Our Sticky Love premieres August 7th, only on Netflix.
