Doh Kyung Soo is returning to television with a new spin on the zombie genre.
The EXO member and actor will star as Kim In Jong in We Are the Zombies, a human comedy set inside a massive shopping mall sealed off after an unexplained virus outbreak.
Rather than focusing solely on fighting zombies, the drama follows the people left behind as they build a life together, form unexpected relationships and search for hope and healing.
Kim In Jong is visiting the mall with friends when the outbreak suddenly begins. Having bounced between part-time jobs to make ends meet, he hates anything that feels like a hassle but has an offbeat charm and an unexpectedly warm side.
The role will show Doh as a relatable young man navigating both a crisis and the complicated people around him.
Since debuting with EXO in 2012, Doh has built a steady acting career through dramas including It’s Okay, That’s Love, 100 Days My Prince, Bad Prosecutor and The Manipulated, as well as films such as Swing Kids and the Along With the Gods series.
Known for moving easily between thrillers, romance and comedy, Doh is now set to bring a new side of himself to We Are the Zombies.
