Goodbye Earth has confirmed its release date for April 26th.

Netflix released a teaser poster for the series along with the news of its release next month. The new teaser poster captures the chaotic scene of the Korean peninsula falling into chaos with only 200 days left until the asteroid strikes.

South Korea, which has become the direct impact zone of the asteroid flying towards Earth, faces the inevitable end of the world. The daily disaster news reports and the scenes of protests by citizens surrounding buildings foreshadow the various problems that the Korean peninsula will face, including conflicts over the impending doom, desperate escapes to safe zones and a surge in crime. The haunting caption “We await the end to come” adds a layer of intrigue, leaving viewers to wonder about the diverse ways people will face their final days.

Goodbye Earth is based on the novel of the same name by Japanese author Kōtarō Isaka. It is directed by Kim Jin Min, who directed Extracurricular and My Name, and written by Jung Sung Ju, who wrote Secret Affair and Heard It Through the Grapevine.

Ahn Eun Jin stars in the series as Jin Se Kyeong, a middle school teacher who steps up as a volunteer for the Ministry of Health and Welfare after the asteroid news breaks. She’ll be a beacon of hope, protecting vulnerable children amidst the escalating chaos.

Goodbye Earth had its release temporarily postponed due to Yoo Ah In‘s drug charges while it was waiting for release. Netflix decided to release the show despite the ongoing trial related to the charges.
