‘Hunt’ Stars Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung Express Their Thrill About Getting Invited to Cannes

Lee Jung Jae’s directorial debut film Hunt was invited to the Cannes Film Festival. Ahead of the big feat, Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung expressed their joy.

Hunt is a spy action drama about Park Pyung Ho and Kim Jung Do, National Intelligence Service (NIS) agents who chase after a North Korean spy. While doubting each other, they face a huge incident called “Korea’s No. 1 Assassination Op” and realize the shocking truth. The film will have a world premiere on the 19th (local time) at the Midnight Screening section.

Ahead of the premiere, Hunt released a poster that captures the tension between Park Pyung Ho (Lee Jung Jae) and Kim Jung Do (Jung Woo Sung) who are looking for the spy within the organization.

Lee Jung Jae, making his directorial debut, shared, “There are so many people to thank,” and named officials of Cannes Film Festival and his crew and cast. Jung Woo Sung, who introduced Lee Jung Jae as his “best friend and his colleague,” said, “It’s a great pleasure of mine to just show the two of us standing on a red carpet.” Jeon Hye Jin, playing the role of Bang Joo Kyung, shared her joy, “What a feat! It’s a big deal that my debut movie is going to Cannes.”

Meanwhile, the cast of Hunt includes Lee Jung Jae, Jung Woo Sung, Jeon Hye Jin, Heo Sung Tae, Go Yoon Jung, and more. The movie also boasts a veteran crew of New World, Along with the Gods, and The Handmaiden.
