Nam Joo Hyuk is in talks to star in the new dark hero drama Vigilante.
According to the actor’s agency Management SOOP, Nam Joo Hyuk is positively reviewing the offer he got to take the lead role in Vigilante.
This new OTT platform Vigilante is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Kim Kyu Sam. It revolves around Kim Ji Yong, a man attending a police university who lost his mother to a thug at a young age. He entered the police university to find the culprit, and every weekend, he sets out to punish the criminals.
The show will satirize the absurdity of society in which law enforcement is overly generous to criminals. If Nam Joo Hyuk joins the production, he’ll play Ji Yong, the “Vigilante.”
Meanwhile, Nam Joo Hyuk recently finished the drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One. Naturally, expectations for his transformation into a dark hero are rising rapidly.
