Former GFRIEND’s Yerin is reportedly making her solo comeback.

According to New1, Yerin is returning to the K-pop scene solo in mid-May. With this, Yerin will launch her full-fledged solo career a year after GFRIEND disbanded. In particular, this marks her solo debut seven years after her debut.

Yerin debuted as a member of GFRIEND in 2015. Since then, the act has released several hit songs like “Me gustas tu” and “ROUGH.” Then in 2019, GFRIEND joined HYBE Label and broadened its territory. But then in 2021, the label announced the group’s disbandment out of the blue, relaying, “We heartily thank GFRIEND for being with us for six years. We ask that fans send support and love to those who’ll continue working in various fields.”

After the disbandment, Yerin mainly focused on running her YouTube channel and has hosted MBC’s Extreme Debut: Wild Idol and MBN’s Get Jobs (literal title).
