Yoo In Soo has found his stardom on the small screen as a deadly semi-zombie, Yoon Gwi Nam, in the popular Netflix Original series, All of Us Are Dead. In less than a week after the show’s release, his social media followers grew dramatically by 15 times, making him the most popular actor of all the cast members in the show. The star appears to be following Squid Game actress Jung Ho Yeon’s footsteps as he is currently gaining immense popularity for his villain character in the piping hot zombie apocalypse series.
All of Us Are Dead follows a group of students trapped in their high school, which has become ground zero for a zombie virus outbreak. The show was released on the 28th of last month and had been staying atop Netflix’s Top 10 Most-Watched Shows list for the past six days across the world.
Yoo In Soo made his acting debut in 2017 with JTBC’s Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and has appeared in Avengers Social Club, My ID is Gangnam Beauty, Life, At Eighteen. ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon‘ (2017)
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon tells a story about a love triangle between Do Bong Soon (Park Bo Young), a woman with superhuman strength, Ahn Min Hyuk (Park Hyung Sik), a quirky CEO of a gaming company, and Ahn Kook Do (Jisoo), a rookie detective with a strong sense of justice.
Yoo In Soo added to the fun of this drama by playing a rebellious but pure-hearted high school kid named Kang Gu. His defiant yet attention-seeking attitude drew the audience’s attention and helped them to get immersed in the show.
‘Life‘ (2018)
Life depicts the tension between the newly appointed Sangkook University Hospital president Koo Seung Hyo (Cho Seung Woo) and the hospital’s emergency room doctor Ye Jin Woo (Lee Dong Wook). Koo Seung Hyo tries to resolve the hospital’s ongoing financial crisis while Ye Jin Woo prioritizes human life above all else. These two characters change and mature in their own ways as they clash with each other.
In the series, Yoo In Soo starred as a cancer center resident doctor named Choi Woo. He delicately portrayed his character’s emotions, who agonizes over his mistake that killed his patient.
‘At Eighteen‘ (2020)
At Eighteen realistically portrays the whirlpool of emotional drain that everyone goes through at the age of eighteen.
Yoo In Soo played a teenage student who has a crush on his friend named Ro Mi (Han Sung Min). He effectively delivered a funny but sad character who openly expressed his feelings for his love, only to get turned down every time he tried.
