Kim So Jung, aka GFRIEND’s Sowon, will officially make her acting debut with iKON’s Chanwoo.
On Thursday, IOK Company confirmed that Kim So Jung was cast to take the lead in the upcoming CINE-RAMA Chilling Cohabitation (literal title).
CINE-RAMA, co-planned by CGV and the production company Contact Media, is a compound word of cinema and drama. It is a new type of content that makes two versions of one content – a movie and a TV series. After the movie version is released in the theaters, the drama version will be unveiled on OTT platforms and YouTube.
Chilling Cohabitation is a horror rom-com that begins when Jeong Se Ri, who can see ghosts, and Song Ji Chan, who somehow became a ghost, start living together by chance. One of the attractive features of the work will be the process of these two warming up to each other.
Kim So Jung plays Jeong Se Ri, a part-timer in a cafe who has the ability to see ghosts due to a special incident. Despite having difficult times because of her power, she never loses her cheerfulness.
Song Ji Chan, played by Chanwoo, is a selfish chaebol who only cares about himself. But in fact, he’s more righteous than anyone. He becomes a ghost after getting involved in an accident and meets Jeong Se Ri. Slowly, he learns about what it means to have a warm heart.
Meanwhile, the movie version of Chilling Cohabitation will be released in the first half of 2022, followed by the drama version.
