BLACKPINK Leads NEW K.ID’S IDOL CHART For Two Weeks, CRAVITY & OH MY GIRL in Top 3

Here are the top 10 idols on K-pop channel NEW K.ID for the second week of August.

BLACKPINK keeps its #1 spot for 2 weeks in a row on NEW K.ID’s Idol Chart this August. After their 5th debut anniversary, BLACKPINK has hit another milestone. The group’s “How You Like That” choreography video has reached more than 800 million views on YouTube. The video was first released back in July 2020 and this is the first choreography video to hit 8 million views. The song was awarded the title “Song of the Summer” at the US 2020 MTV Video Mu-sic Awards and topped YouTube chart as the #1 “Global Top Summer Song.”

Coming in at #2 is CRAVITY. The group has revealed their track list for their first full album THE AWAKENING: Written in the Stars �with centers around the theme of facing new chal-lenges while reaching to meet a goal. The album will have a total of eight songs including “Intro: New Horizon,” title track “Gas Pedal,” “VENI VIDI VICI,” “CHINGA-LINGA,” “Celebrate,” “Grand Prix,” and “GO.” The new album is set to be released on the 19th.

At #3 is OH MY GIRL. OH MY GIRL member Hyo-jung appeared as a guest on JTBC’s Work-man. In the episode released on the 6th Hyo-jung was given the task of catching eels. She shows off her professionalism and strength throughout the show, easily lift a box of eels weighing more than 60kg with the manager.

Following in at #4 is ASTRO. The group wins the #1 title on music ranking shows with their comeback song “After Midnight.” On the 2nd, ASTRO returned to the spotlight with their 8th mini album SWITCH ON.

Up next at #5 is EPEX with LUNARSOLAR at #6 spot. And TOMORROW X TOGETHER is at #7 this week. TXT is set to return with 2nd full-length repackage album The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE and the group has revealed a video preview of title Song “LO$ER=LO♡ER” along with other album highlights. The title song is a pop punk song that describes a boy’s deep desire to be a “LO♡ER” in the eyes of his soulmate, even if it means he looks like a like “LO$ER” in the eyes of the world.

MONSTA X comes in at #8. MONSTA X has swept the US Billboard World Digital Song sales charts in 2021. The group has made it to the top of the U.S. Billboard Chart with 16 tracks, which is a very unique achievement for MONSTA X. The ranked tracks include “GAMBLER”, “Nobody Else”, “Addicted”, “KISS OR DEATH”, “Secrets” and “Night View. “MONSTA X’s first full-length album ALL ABOUT LUV �was released in the U.S. last year and was ranked in the top 10 on a total of seven Billboard charts, including fifth on Billboard’s main album chart “The Billboard 200.” It also ranked sixth on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, which ranks the most notable artists.

Moving in at #9 is BLITZERS. The rookie group’s Jinhwa and Chris made a special guest ap-pearance on Arirang Radio’s Music Access. They showed off their charms while clearing dif-ference games and dance missions.
