Rumors of a romantic relationship between G-Dragon of Big Bang and Jenny of Black Pink �” both under YG Entertainment �” have surfaced. Regarding this, YG Entertainment has said on the 24th, “It is difficult for the company to confirm about the artist’s private life. We ask for your understanding.” On this day Dispatch reported that G-Dragon and Jenny were seeing each other. According to its report, the two have been dating for a year, and such has been known in the company already. Jenny’s mother also said she knew about the relationship. Previously, Jenny had publicly been in a relationship with EXO’s Kai in 2019. G-Dragon on the other hand has been rumored to have romantic relationships with Japanese actress Mizuhara Kiko and Korean actress Lee Joo Yeon. However, he has never been in a relationship publicly.

 

First Episode of ‘Dear. M’ Cancelled

As Park Hye Su, a cast member of the show has been suspected to be involved in school violence, the first episode of Dear. M �has been postponed indefinitely. Recently, several suspicions surrounding Park Hye Su’s violence within her school have been raised online. While Santa Claus Entertainment denied the said claims and warned about taking legal action, more exposures have been made since then. With the continued controversy, KBS decided to postpone the first airing of Dear. M. As a 100% pre-produced drama, Dear. M �has currently finished all shootings.

 

Netflix Releases Lineup for Upcoming Works

Netflix hosted See What’s Next Korea 2021 �to mark the fifth anniversary of its start in Korea on the 25th and unveiled a lineup including new movies and dramas. This includes 8 original series such as Kingdom: Ashin of the North �which is a special episode of the series, Sci-Fi series The Sea of Tranquility, D.P., Undercover, Move To Heaven, Squid Game �(literal title), Hellbound, All of Us are Dead, and Love Alarm 2. Netflix also announced two original films Carter �and Moral Sense, a standup comedy Lee Soo Geun: The Sense Coach, its first sitcom So Not Worth It, and Baek Jong Won’s reality show Paik’s Spirit. At the event was Kim Min Young, the general VP for content in Korea and Asia-Pacific regions (excluding Japan and India). She said that more than 3.8 million households are subscribed for paid services in Korea as of 2020 and that the platform is to invest about 550 billion Won for Korean content this year.

 

T-Ara’s Jiyeon and Soyeon to Take Strict Actions after Threatened with Murder

Singer and actor Jiyeon has requested the police for an investigation, saying that she was threatened with murder by an unidentified individual. Jiyeon’s agency stated on the 25th that “she has been threatened to be murder several times,” and that they have officially asked for a police investigation. It was reported that Soyeon was also under threat of murder. Her agency said on the 25th that “Soyeon has reported a stalker who broke into her house for housebreaking and was investigated at Seoul’s Gangnam Police Station.” It has been told that the agency is preparing a hard-line response to protect Soyeon’s safety.
