CORTIS’s agency, Big Hit Music, has issued a statement and apology regarding recent controversy over alleged flight boarding delays.
The agency explained on June 30th, “Our arrival at the airport on June 26th was delayed due to heavy traffic caused by a road accident during the flight from Paris to Incheon. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to passengers on the same flight.”
Recent online posts claimed that the flight was delayed due to CORTIS’s boarding process, and these claims spread on social media.
The agency strongly denied allegations that the group “blocked the passenger line while changing clothes on the airport bridge.” Photos circulating online, along with captions suggesting they delayed others for several minutes, were also addressed by the agency.

Big Hit Music responded, “This is not true. The scene in question was from last October, when the members were organizing their belongings after all passengers had already disembarked. They were the last to leave after completing their schedule in Japan and returning to Korea.”
The agency also denied claims that boarding was delayed during their May trip to Japan for a concert, stating, “They completed boarding well before the deadline at that time.”
Meanwhile, CORTIS continues to gain popularity both in Korea and internationally with their May mini-album title track REDRED. The group is also preparing for their first solo tour, 2026 CORTIS TOUR ‘PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN’, scheduled for the second half of the year.
