Yoon Eun Hye is looking back on one of her most talked-about scenes from Coffee Prince.

On the June 29th episode of SBS’ variety show Uh, but Like, Seriously!, first-generation girl group Baby V.O.X appeared together as a full group and shared stories from their careers.

During the episode, Yoon brought up Coffee Prince, the beloved drama that continues to see a surge in rewatches every summer. “These days, a lot of people in their teens and 20s like it, too,” she said, expressing her gratitude.

Yoon also recalled her short hairstyle from the drama. “At first, I got it cut in a pretty way, but the director said, ‘It’s too pretty.’ So I really cut it like a guy’s haircut,” she said. “I didn’t style my hair, and I filmed with just sunscreen and lip balm on.”

She then opened up about her intense kiss scene with Gong Yoo. “Honestly, I don’t remember it very well,” she said. “There was a lot of improvising on set, and the vibe was that we could go a little intense.”

Yoon continued, “When we all got together for the drama’s 10th anniversary, Gong Yoo said while watching the kiss scene, ‘I was surprised when Eun Hye lifted my T-shirt. That wasn’t in the script.'”

She added with a laugh, “There wasn’t a single scripted part in that kiss scene. We only had the basic blocking, and the rest was real.” Shim Eun Jin joked, “I remember thinking, ‘Our maknae is good at this. I’m proud of her.'”

Boom also brought up Yoon’s legendary Myeongdong kiss scene with Ju Ji Hoon in Princess Hours. “That kiss scene was real, too,” he said. “The people in the scene weren’t extras.”

Yoon said, “If I could shoot one drama again, I’d want to do Princess Hours again. I rewatched it three years ago. Before that, I couldn’t even look at it. It was my first project, and I filmed it when I didn’t know how to calculate my acting or understand any of the details.”

She continued, “When we filmed the Myeongdong kiss scene, I didn’t even know where the camera was. The floor director gave instructions from far away, and we just followed. People passing by saw two celebrities kissing and started taking photos.”

She added, “But in the drama, we were the crown prince and crown princess, so it fit the scene that people would stare and recognize us. We were both sweating buckets because if we made a mistake, we couldn’t shoot again.”
