Disney Plus has released character posters and a new trailer for its upcoming series Final Table, ahead of its premiere on October 25th. The trailer offers a closer look at why the chefs enter a high-stakes cooking competition and the personal stories behind their ambitions.
Premiering on October 25th, Final Table will release new episodes every Sunday and Monday on Disney Plus. The series follows Korean chefs from around the world as they compete in “The Table: K Chef 2026”, a culinary competition to determine the best Korean chef.
The new trailer explores the characters’ complicated relationships, with Kang Han’s (played by Ahn Hyo Seop) mysterious past at the center of the story. It opens with flashbacks of a young Kang Han crying inside a burning house before cutting to his present-day struggle to confront those memories. The scenes raise questions about what happened in his past and how it shaped him.
The trailer also hints at growing tensions between Kang Han and the people around him, particularly over his connection to the restaurant Familia and his decision to join the competition. Scenes of Cha Woo Jin (Chang Ryul) confronting Kang Han suggest a serious rivalry between the two chefs.
Beyond the intense competition, the series explores how each chef expresses their beliefs and personal experiences through food. The trailer highlights this theme with the line, “We create food that moves people’s hearts.”
Despite the pressure surrounding him, Kang Han remains determined to perfect his dishes. Choi Song Yi (Hong Hwa Yeon) also recognizes the emotion behind his cooking, saying she can feel his sincerity. These moments suggest that the competition will be about more than culinary skills, as each chef strives to prove what makes their approach to food unique.
