Worldwide online entertainment platform, Netflix, will globally service KakaoTV’s original drama series Lovestruck in the City from the 22nd of December.
KakaoM will greet viewers around the world with its new original series Lovestruck in the City on December 22nd through Netflix. The show will be aired in Korea, Asia, Arab and English speaking regions at 7 p.m. KST, starting from the 22nd. For other regions, full episodes of the series will be released per regional schedules after the show ends.
Lovestruck in the City is a realistic and romantic drama that illustrates youths who lead fierce lives in the city while fighting with an “another version of themselves” in them. It plans to provide the viewers with a different kind of entertainment by showing a way of love that is fast-paced, yet not frivolous. With Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won, Kim Min Seok and Han Ji Eun, and Ryu Kyung Soo and So Joo Yeon, Lovestruck in the City will display a new type of chemistry between young people who are different from each other.
The show opens up with its subtitle, My Lovable Camera Thief. Ji Chang Wook transformed into Park Jae Won in the show, a romantic architect who knows how to be honest and be passionately in love. Park Jae Won cannot forget the “camera thief” who stole his heart and disappeared like a summer night’s dream a year ago. The thief of his heart, Lee Eun Oh, is played by Kim Ji Won. While her “main self” Lee Eun Oh is a normal woman, her “alternative self” Yoon Sun Ah is an oddball who owns a free spirit and falls in love with Park Jae Won at a foreign place.
Kim Min Seok and So Joo Yeon play the roles of Choi Kyung Joon and Seo Rin Yi, respectively, as they portray characters who prioritize happiness and romance. Meanwhile, Ryu Kyung Soo and Han Ji Eun portray a couple who have such different dating styles, Kang Geon and Oh Sun Young.
Lovestruck in the City depicts “romance in the way of life” as the director of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and Don’t Dare to Dream, Park Shin Woo collaborates with Jeong Hyun Jeong, the screenwriter behind I Need Romance, Discovery of Love and Romance Is a Bonus Book.
Presenting the real romance of six bold and honest city men and women, Lovestruck in the City will be available to stream globally from the 22nd of December on Netflix.
