The Eyes is officially heading to theaters this summer.
The suspense thriller starring Shin Mina, Kim Nam Hee, Lee Seung Ryong and Kim Young Ah confirmed its June 24th release date alongside the reveal of a striking teaser poster.
The film follows Seo Jin, a photographer slowly losing her eyesight due to a hereditary eye disease, as she investigates the suspicious death of her twin sister and uncovers a terrifying truth.
Shin Mina takes on dual roles as both Seo Jin and her twin sister Seo In, a successful ceramic artist who overcame visual impairment before meeting a mysterious death.
Kim Nam Hee stars as detective Do Hyuk, who becomes Seo Jin’s eyes while helping her investigate the case, despite growing wary of her obsession with uncovering the truth.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung Ryong plays Hyun Min, a model whose dangerous fixation on Seo Jin adds another layer of tension to the story, while Kim Young Ah appears as Mi Kyung, the detective assigned to protect Seo Jin from a stalker threatening her safety.
The teaser poster immediately grabs attention with its bold red tones and close-up image of an eye pressed tightly against the frame, hinting at the film’s unsettling atmosphere.
The Eyes comes from the production company behind Hide and Seek, the hit thriller inspired by a shocking real-life case that drew 5.6 million moviegoers upon release.
Director Yeom Ji Ho, who gained attention with Next Door, returns to the thriller genre with the upcoming film.
