Comedian Cho Hye Ryeon shared a charming story about an unexpected run-in with top actor Song Joong Ki.

On the March 25th episode of SBS’s Dolsing Fourmen, Cho Hye Ryeon appeared alongside fellow guests Um Ki Joon and Kim Soo Ro. During a lively chat with the show’s hosts, Tak Jae Hoon playfully accused Cho of turning even the briefest celebrity encounters into talk show material. “Is it true you bumped into Song Joong Ki at a fancy hotel?” he pressed.

Cho cheerfully confirmed, “I ran into him at a hotel. We’d met on Running Man before, so I greeted him. He was dining at the buffet for his father’s 70th birthday. So I sent a bottle of expensive champagne to his table.”

When Tak Jae Hoon asked why she would go so far for someone she didn’t know that well, Cho replied with a grin, “Because Song Joong Ki is precious!” The comedian then revealed that Song later came to her neighborhood and treated her to dinner as a gesture of thanks.

Kim Soo Ro chimed in with his own experience, saying Song Joong Ki is the only junior colleague who has ever picked up his tab. “I usually pay when I meet younger actors,” he said. “But one time, I bumped into Song Joong Ki at a restaurant. I didn’t even realize he had left, but he paid for the entire table before he walked out.”

Later in the episode, Tak Jae Hoon brought up another hilarious past remark Cho Hye Ryeon made about actor Won Bin. “Didn’t you once say he smelled like bellflower?”

Laughing, Cho confirmed the story. “That was about 24 years ago, back when he was still a rookie and we did a play together. Every time he walked by, there was this bellflower scent… turns out he smoked bellflower cigarettes!”
