Kim Ji Won is set to appear on tvN’s popular variety show You Quiz on the Block.
A source from the entertainment industry told JTBC Entertainment News on September 16th, “Kim Ji Won is participating in the recording of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block today.”
Kim Ji Won’s appearance on a variety show is relatively rare. She has primarily connected with audiences through her acting projects and does not often appear on variety programs. However, she is making a highly anticipated return to television with the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama Doctor X after a two-year break. As part of the drama’s promotion, she plans to meet viewers through various platforms.
Kim Ji Won is expected to sit down with host Yoo Jae Suk to look back on her acting career, talk about preparing for her new drama and share behind-the-scenes stories from the set on You Quiz on the Block.
Doctor X premieres October 9th. The medical noir drama follows genius surgeon Gye Soo Jung, a doctor who refuses to compromise or accept failure as she takes on deep-rooted corruption within the medical field.
Kim Ji Won will play Gye Soo Jung, known as “Doctor X,” a brilliant and cold surgeon who is fiercely confident in the operating room. The role marks a dramatic departure from many of her previous characters and has drawn attention to the new side of her acting that she will showcase in her small-screen comeback.
Meanwhile, the broadcast date for Kim Ji Won’s episode of You Quiz on the Block has not yet been announced.
