Lee Do Hyun and Kim Min Ha are officially heading into production on their new romance film Viva La Vida.
The film finalized its principal cast and began filming on August 19th, following early buzz over the pairing of the two stars.
Based on a Chinese film, Viva La Vida follows Woori, who is slowly losing hope while desperately wishing for a miracle, and Taeyang, an eccentric young man who barges into her life with a promise to give her a tomorrow. After an unexpected agreement brings them together, the two begin to upend each other’s worlds in what is described as a romance about love, survival and finding a reason to keep going.
Lee Do Hyun, Kim Min Ha and the film’s main cast recently gathered for a table read with director Park Dhan Hee ahead of production.

Lee Do Hyun stars as Taeyang, an eccentric young man preparing for the end of his life who makes Woori an unexpected proposition that turns her world upside down. The role marks another genre shift for Lee, whose credits include Sweet Home, Youth of May, The Glory, The Good Bad Mother and the box-office hit Exhuma.
Kim Min Ha will play Woori, a woman clinging to the hope of a miracle while struggling through a difficult reality. Kim is best known for Pachinko and has also appeared in Way Back Love, Typhoon Family and Hana Korea.
Park Dhan Hee, whose directing credits include Tastefully Yours and Weak Hero Class 1, is behind the camera.
