Heo Nam Jun is set to star as the protagonist in SBS’s new drama, Currency Reform.
Xports News exclusively reported on August 14th that Heo Nam Jun is currently in discussions to appear in the new SBS drama Currency Reform (litertal title.)
Currency Reform, based on the webtoon of the same name serialized on Kakao Webtoon, tells the story of Yu Il Han, who is living a life at the bottom, as he receives an unexpected inheritance opportunity of one trillion won upon the news of his estranged father’s death.
Heo Nam Jun has been offered the role of the main character, Yu Il Han, who grows as he is thrust into a trillion-won inheritance game.
Previously, Heo Nam Jun made a strong impression with his role in SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama My Royal Nemesis, which aired in the first half of this year. He captured viewers’ hearts, earning him the titles of ‘hot actor’ and ‘rom-com king.’
After proving his true worth in My Royal Nemesis, Heo Nam Jun is now embarking on a transformation in Currency Reform, Expectations are high for his portrayal of Yu Il Han’s growth amidst the unpredictable situation of an inheritance game, showcasing another facet of the rising star.
Meanwhile, Heo Nam Jun is currently filming for tvN’s Whale Star. Additionally, he will meet with fans at his first fan meeting on August 22nd.
