BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is mourning Mathilde Favier, Dior’s longtime head of public relations, who passed away suddenly at the age of 57.
According to local media reports, Favier died in a car accident in western France on August 17th. Her husband, film producer Nicolas Altmayer, was also in the car and died in the accident.
Favier had a long career in the fashion industry and was a well-known figure at Dior. She was also very close to Jisoo and often accompanied her to Dior’s official events.
Favier was especially supportive of Jisoo during her activities in France. The two became close over the years, with Jisoo reportedly considering her a “Parisian mother.”
Jisoo shared a message for Favier on social media on August 18th.
“To my dearest Mathilde, I struggle to find the words to say goodbye to you,” she wrote.
“You treated me with such warmth and kindness from my very first journey with Dior. Over the years, we shared so many special moments. I will always be grateful for the care, love, and support you showed me.”
Jisoo also remembered the time they spent together in Paris.
“I will always cherish all the precious memories we shared in Paris. It feels even harder to say goodbye now, as I was looking forward to seeing you again in Paris and celebrating together,” she said.
She ended her message by writing, “Rest in peace. You will never be forgotten.”
