Director Jang Jae Hyun‘s new mystery occult film Vampir has finalized its cast and will begin filming in August.

The film follows an unidentified hitman who is hired by a clergyman to track down a mysterious pagan group, setting off a series of unsettling events.

Jang, known for Exhuma, Svaha: The Sixth Finger and The Priests, is set to further expand the distinctive occult world he has built across his previous films.

Yoo Ah In will play the hitman pursuing the pagan group. Though normally unfazed by danger, the character begins to change after encountering mysterious beings he cannot explain.

Lee Sung Min stars as a clergyman who breaks a taboo in pursuit of his beliefs, portraying a man torn between responsibility and guilt.

Lee Jun Hyuk will take on the role of a pagan obsessed with eternal life, marking a dramatic transformation into a mysterious and menacing character.

Rising actress Do I, who won the role through a competitive audition process, will play a girl shrouded in mystery. Yoon Kyung Ho joins as a smuggling broker who ends up traveling with the pagan group, while Choi Hyun Wook plays a U.S. Army lieutenant with an unknown agenda.

The cast recently gathered with Jang for a table read, where the ensemble reportedly showed strong chemistry from their first session together.

With its main cast now in place, Vampir is preparing to begin full-scale production and is currently set for a theatrical release in 2028.
