Yoo Ah In made his first public appearance since the Supreme Court handed him a suspended prison sentence for drug abuse charges.

He attended the VIP premiere of director Na Hong Jin’s new film Hope at the Megabox COEX theater in Gangnam, Seoul. The star-studded event drew significant attention, with major celebrities like BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Rosé, along with actors Lee Jung Jae, Cha Tae Hyun and E Jiah in attendance.

Yoo did not appear at the official red carpet photo wall, but he was seen inside the venue warmly greeting acquaintances and embracing friends. Dressed in a black shirt and pants with a hat pulled low, he kept a low profile.

Yoo was seen with director Jang Jae Hyun, who recently helmed the hit film Exhuma. The sighting has reignited speculation that Yoo may star in Jang’s upcoming film, Vampir. Although the film’s distributor, NEW, previously stated that “nothing has been confirmed,” seeing the actor and director together has added fuel to the casting rumors.

This appearance comes amid speculation that Yoo is transferring to a new talent agency, Galaxy Corporation, following the expiration of his 12-year exclusive contract with UAA (United Artist Agency). He is reportedly receiving a signing bonus of approximately 5 billion won ($3.7 million). If Yoo signs on for Vampir, it will mark his official return to acting and his first project since his legal conviction.
