Yoo Ah In is drawing attention after a recent photo with a close male friend surfaced online.
On August 8th, Lee, CEO of a prominent Korean fashion brand, shared a picture alongside Yoo on social media. The photo shows the two leaning their heads together, with the caption, “My brother, I will always love you.” The pair are longtime friends, and Yoo has frequently been seen wearing pieces from Lee’s fashion line.
This public appearance comes following Yoo’s recent legal troubles. In 2024, the Supreme Court finalized his sentence of a one-year prison term suspended for two years, along with a fine of 2 million ($1,500). Prosecutors had charged him with illegally administering medical-grade narcotics—including propofol, midazolam, ketamine and remimazolam—181 times between September 2020 and March 2022 under the guise of cosmetic anesthesia. He was additionally charged with fraudulently acquiring over 1,100 sleeping pills using third-party names on 44 occasions from May 2021 to August 2023, as well as smoking marijuana with acquaintances in the United States in January 2024.
While maintaining a period of reflection, Yoo has gradually resurfaced in public view. Last month, he attended the VIP premiere of director Na Hong Jin’s upcoming film HOPE at Megabox COEX in Seoul. Although he bypassed the official media photo wall, he was spotted mingling with fellow guests and industry acquaintances.
Additionally, Yoo was seen conversing with director Jang Jae Hyun, sparking rumors about his potential comeback project, Vampir. However, distributor NEW clarified that Yoo’s casting in the film has not been confirmed.
