Yoo Il Han and sports announcer Lee Yoo Bin have denied dating rumors, clarifying that they are only friends.
Yoo Il Han addressed the rumors on social media on August 5th, explaining that their pairing on the show was only part of the program’s format and did not lead to a real-life relationship.
“Our pairing on the TV was a chance for us to get to know each other better, but we did not become a couple,” Yoo wrote. “I wanted to clarify this because viewers may have misunderstood the situation.”
He added, “Lee Yoo Bin and I have continued to maintain a good relationship after the show ended, but it was like an older brother and younger sister. I’ll return with good news in the future.”
Lee Yoo Bin also responded to the rumors on the same day, thanking viewers for their support of Chosun’s Real Romantic while saying that some reports had been inaccurate.
“We have not developed a romantic relationship as reported,” she said. “Il Han and I have continued to have a close relationship as good friends after filming ended.”
The two appeared together on the July 3rd episode of TV Chosun’s dating variety show Chosun’s Real Romantic for a special group matchmaking segment.
During the final selection, Lee Yoo Bin gave Yoo Il Han a postcard containing her contact information, and the two were matched as a couple on the show. The scene later led to speculation that their on-screen connection had turned into a real-life romance.
