Kim Woo Bin‘s new tvN drama Gift is set to premiere in the second half of this year.
On August 5th, tvN announced, “The new drama ‘Gift’ will premiere in the second half of 2026,” adding that Kim Woo Bin had officially joined the cast.
Based on the popular Kakao Webtoon of the same name by Jeong Iriiri, Gift follows a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains a special ability after an accident and becomes the coach of the country’s lowest-ranked high school baseball team.
Kim will play Jung Min Yong, a former pro baseball pitching coach who develops the ability to instantly recognize a person’s talent for the sport. After leaving professional baseball, he takes over as coach of the nation’s worst high school team and sets out on a new challenge, transforming the players in his own way.
“Kim Woo Bin will bring Jung Min Yong’s growth and transformation to life with his signature emotional depth and commanding presence,” tvN said. “In particular, he will convincingly portray Jung Min Yong’s evolution as he wrestles with the balance between natural talent and hard work while growing alongside his players.”
