Epik High had a fun reunion with the stars of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, where Tom Holland surprised fans by revealing that he has tried makgeolli, a traditional Korean rice wine.

On July 30th, Epik High released a video on their official YouTube channel, EPIKASE.

The group met Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon in London for a casual interview ahead of the film’s release.

Jacob Batalon warmly greeted Epik High, recalling his previous connection with Tablo during the Spider-Man Asia press tour in 2019. Tablo highlighted their reunion by introducing Batalon as “my friend,” adding to the friendly atmosphere.

Before the interview, Epik High challenged the Spider-Man: Brand New Day cast to a 3-on-3 friendship test.

Epik High, who had secretly prepared their answers beforehand, showed perfect teamwork. Meanwhile, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon had no idea what to expect and repeatedly gave different answers, creating a hilarious back-and-forth.

Their playful disagreements continued throughout the challenge, showcasing the trio’s natural chemistry.

During the interview, Epik High asked the actors about Korean food they had tried.

Tom Holland recalled a visit with Jake Gyllenhaal while Gyllenhaal was filming Bong Joon Ho’s Okja. “He took me to a market alley. I drank something that was kind of like milk,” Holland said.

Epik High immediately realized he was talking about makgeolli and continued the conversation.

Zendaya asked for Korean food recommendations, while Jacob Batalon impressed Epik High with his knowledge of Korean cuisine by suggesting sannakji (live octopus).

Epik High also asked London native Tom Holland for a lunch recommendation in the city. Holland suggested a local restaurant and jokingly mentioned that his non-alcoholic beer brand could also be enjoyed there.

After the interview and a group photo, Epik High kept the playful mood going by joking, “I’ll put it on Tom’s tab after the meal.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, has been a major box office success in Korea, surpassing 3 million moviegoers within five days of its release on July 29th, according to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing system.
