Dating rumors involving DAY6 member Dowoon and influencer Yu Jiyu have resurfaced.
The two were previously swept up in dating rumors online last month. At the time, fans pointed to details including a dog seen inside a car, similar interiors and items believed to be matching accessories, but Dowoon’s agency, JYP Entertainment, denied the rumors.
Now, new details have reignited the conversation.
On June 16th, an old YouTube vlog by Yu began spreading on online communities. The video, uploaded about eight months ago, shows her eating at a Chinese restaurant.
What caught fans’ attention was the location. The restaurant had hosted a limited collaboration event celebrating DAY6’s 10th anniversary. In the video, the table shows the group’s fandom name, My Day, while the interior is decorated with DAY6-related phrases and displays.
The event was known to be highly competitive to book, even among fans. Some viewers reacted by saying the visit did not seem like a simple coincidence, leaving comments like “This couldn’t have been a casual visit” and “It just had to be that restaurant.”
Others urged caution, arguing that any fan could have visited the restaurant and that the vlog alone was not enough to connect her to Dowoon romantically.
The debate has continued online as the vlog is being discussed alongside earlier speculation.
Dowoon debuted with DAY6 in 2015 and continues to promote with the band. Yu Jiyu is known as the younger sister of YouTuber Yu Hyeju, who appeared on Ulzzang Generation.
