Lee Jae Wook is preparing to step away for military service.

On May 4th, his agency confirmed that Lee Jae Wook will enlist as an active-duty soldier on May 18th.

Born in 1998, Lee previously hinted that his enlistment was approaching. In a May 2025 interview for Netflix’s Dear Hongrang, he referred to it as his “deadline,” adding that he didn’t feel he wasn’t “disciplined” enough to delay it through further studies.

Now, one year later, he heads into service with two projects lined up for release.

Lee will first return to screens in June through the ENA drama Doctor on the Edge, where he stars alongside Shin Ye Eun. He is also set to appear later this year in the Netflix series Dead-End Job, co-starring Go Min Si, Kim Min Ha, and Lee Hee Joon.

With both projects on the way, Lee’s upcoming enlistment marks a temporary pause in his rising career.
