Disney Plus has unveiled the first teaser trailer for its upcoming original series The Manipulated, promising a pulse-pounding revenge drama led by Ji Chang Wook and Do Kyung Soo.

Billed as one of Disney Plus’ most ambitious titles of 2025, the series expands the universe of the 2017 film Fabricated City into serialized form. The story follows Tae Joong (Ji Chang Wook), an ordinary man whose life shatters overnight when he’s framed for a violent crime and sent to prison. There, he discovers the ordeal was orchestrated by Yohan (Do Kyung Soo), setting him on a relentless path of vengeance.

The teaser captures Tae Joong’s descent from a hardworking deliveryman to a man consumed by revenge. “That day, my life was manipulated,” the copy reads, as scenes of his wrongful imprisonment unfold after picking up a phone on the streets. Do Kyung Soo, taking on his first villain role, delivers a chilling menace. In one standout moment, he flashes a deranged smile and declares, “You did the right thing calling me.”

Supporting the leads are Kim Jong Soo, Jo Yoon Su, and Lee Kwang Soo, with screenwriter Oh Sang Ho—best known for the Taxi Driver series—penning the script. The series promises a mix of high-octane spectacle and psychological intensity.

The teaser crescendos with fiery car chases, large-scale explosions, and ends with his searing vow—“Wait for me. I’ll find you soon”—matched against Yohan’s sinister grin, teasing a cat-and-mouse game with no predictable end.

The Manipulated premieres exclusively on Disney Plus November 5th with four episodes, followed by two new episodes weekly, for a total of 12 episodes.
