Jun Ji Hyun is reportedly in talks to star in a new project tentatively titled Human X Gumiho.

OSEN reported on March 28th that Jun Ji Hyun recently received the script for Human X Gumiho and is positively considering the offer. Ji Chang Wook is being eyed as her potential co-star and is also reviewing the casting offer.

Human X Gumiho is the latest work from writer Lim Meari, a former assistant writer under star screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, known for hits like Secret Garden, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God and The Glory. Lim Meari debuted with the 2018 JTBC drama Beauty Inside and gained widespread love with works like the 2021 tvN drama When the Devil Calls Your Name. Human X Gumiho is said to be a fantasy genre project, co-produced by HighZium Studio—behind Hellbound 2 and Doctor Slump—and Contents Planner. The broadcast platform has yet to be confirmed.

She’s set to return to the screen after a decade with director Yeon Sang Ho’s new film Colony (literal title), alongside her upcoming Disney Plus series Polaris, slated for release in 2025. With Human X Gumiho potentially added to her lineup, fans are excited for her active return to acting.

Additionally, since Colony already features both Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook, attention is now on whether the two actors might team up again for Human X Gumiho.
