Disney Plus has unveiled the first teaser poster for The Remarried Empress, setting the stage for one of this fall’s biggest royal scandals.
The Remarried Empress is an epic romance fantasy centered on Navier (played by Shin Mina), the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire. After her husband, Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji Hoon), falls for runaway slave Rashta (Lee Se Young) and asks for a divorce, Navier agrees — on one condition: she wants permission to remarry Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong Suk) of the Western Kingdom.
The newly released teaser poster puts Navier front and center. Poised and unwavering, she embodies both the elegance of the ideal empress and the commanding authority of a woman who refuses to be shaken.
“I accept the divorce. And I request approval to remarry,” reads the poster’s tagline, an iconic line from the original story that signals the beginning of a scandal set to rock the empire.
Faced with betrayal and divorce, Navier refuses to crumble and instead makes the decisive choice to take control of her own life and forge a new future. Shin Mina is expected to bring Navier’s dignity and leadership to life with her signature elegance, commanding presence and emotional depth.
The Remarried Empress is based on the hit IP of the same name, including a webtoon that has amassed 2.97 billion global views as of July 2026. The adaptation also marks Disney+’s first Korean romance fantasy series and has already generated strong anticipation ahead of its premiere.
Shin Mina, Ju Ji Hoon, Lee Jong Suk and Lee Se Young lead the cast in a story packed with royal romance, power and desire. Set against the fictional Eastern Empire, the series will bring its lavish fantasy world and the tangled relationships between its four central characters to live action.
The Remarried Empress will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus this fall.
