Former BIGBANG member T.O.P has drawn mixed reactions after visiting a birthday café organized by his fans with his girlfriend, actress Nana, formerly of After School.
Videos of the couple at the café recently began circulating on online communities and social media. T.O.P stopped by the event that fans had organized to celebrate his special day on November 4th.
Birthday cafés are a popular fan tradition in South Korea. Fans rent and decorate cafés with photos, posters and merchandise dedicated to their favorite celebrities or fictional characters. These events also give fans a chance to meet and celebrate their shared interests.
T.O.P smiled as he looked around the café and spent time with fans. However, his girlfriend Nana also accompanied him, drawing attention from those who saw the videos. Nana was seen recording T.O.P on her phone as he checked out the decorations, showing her support for him.

The couple confirmed their relationship last month. They first met while working on a music video and grew closer over time before beginning to date around June. At the time, their representatives asked the public to look kindly on their relationship.
T.O.P and Nana’s appearance at the fan-organized event has since sparked divided reactions online. Some criticized T.O.P for bringing his girlfriend to an event that fans had organized specifically for him, arguing that he should have been more considerate of their feelings.
The timing also drew criticism. T.O.P had recently apologized after a fan site that supported him for 20 years announced its closure. He expressed regret for hurting his fans, making his decision to attend the birthday café with Nana particularly disappointing to some supporters.
Others, however, defended the couple, saying they looked good together and that there was nothing wrong with their appearance as long as the fans themselves had no problem with it.
