A man convicted of breaking into Nana’s home has been indicted on additional charges of making false accusations after filing a criminal complaint against her for attempted murder.
Nana’s agency, Sublime, confirmed on October 21st that the intruder had accused the actress of attempted murder and robbery causing injury. Nana subsequently filed a complaint against him for making false accusations.
The incident occurred on November 15th, 2025, when the man broke into Nana’s home in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, armed with a weapon. He threatened Nana and her mother while demanding money and valuables. The two managed to subdue him but sustained injuries requiring around a month of medical treatment.
In June, a district court sentenced the man to seven years in prison. He appealed the ruling, denying that he had been armed during the break-in, and sent letters to media outlets claiming he had been wrongfully convicted.
He also filed a criminal complaint against Nana, alleging attempted murder and robbery causing injury after sustaining injuries while being restrained. Police declined to refer the case for prosecution, ruling that Nana had acted in self-defense.
Nana then filed a complaint accusing the man of making false allegations. Following witness interviews and forensic examinations of mobile phones, prosecutors indicted him on the additional charge in September. He is now awaiting trial on that charge.
In its statement, Sublime said, “We hope that the artist and her family, who have suffered serious harm as a result of this incident, will no longer have to endure false claims and further victimization.”
The agency added, “We will continue to do our utmost to protect our artist’s safety and physical and mental well-being.”
