So Ji Sub thanked the crew of his latest drama with an unusual but generous gift: gold.
Posts recently surfaced on online communities showing the gold gifts the actor gave to staff members of SBS drama Agent Kim Reactivated.
Along with a gold card, So Ji Sub shared a message that read, “Working on this project brought me so much joy and meant a great deal to me. Thank you to everyone who quietly did their part to make ‘Agent Kim Reactivated’ shine.”
The actor is known for giving gifts to crew members at the end of his projects as a way of thanking them for their hard work.
So Ji Sub previously explained in an interview why he tends to choose gold. He said he wanted to avoid any misunderstanding that the gifts were sponsored and chose gold because it is practical — recipients can sell it later and use the money if they ever need to.
Meanwhile, Agent Kim Reactivated wrapped its hit run on July 25 with impressive ratings. According to Nielsen Korea, the finale scored 23.4% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 23.0% nationwide, with a peak real-time rating of 27.1%.
The 27.1% peak marked a new series high, underscoring the drama’s strong momentum through its final episode.
