Netflix’s highly anticipated series Gyeongseong Creature returns for Season 2 with the release of its main poster and trailer, teasing an intense time-slip story with romance, mystery, and action.
Set in 2024 Seoul, Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 follows Ho Jae (Park Seo Jun), who closely resembles Tae Sang from 1945, and Chae Ok (Han So Hee), who survived the harsh realities of Gyeongseong. Their paths cross once again as they unravel the unresolved connections, fates, and grudges of their past lives.
The teaser opens in 1945 with Tae Sang and transitions to Chae Ok in 2024, who ominously states, “But my winter hasn’t ended yet,” sparking curiosity about the time-traveling elements of the show. Chae Ok’s mysterious presence at the scenes of a series of unsolved murders across Seoul hints at a terrifying connection between the horrors of Gyeongseong’s past and the present day.
Chae Ok is seen navigating the scene of a series of mysterious murders across modern-day Seoul, which seem to mirror the nightmares of 1945 Gyeongseong. As she secretly investigates, she meets Ho Jae, who runs Bukang Trading Co. After meeting Chae Ok, he is thrown into emotional turmoil, confronting feelings he can’t fully understand.
Meanwhile, a secret experiment led by the enigmatic Captain Kuroko (Lee Moo Saeng) at Jeonseung Pharmaceuticals adds another layer of suspense. Kuroko’s shadowy figures relentlessly pursue Ho Jae and Chae Ok, all while another character, Seung Jo (Bae Hyun Sung), who shares similar powers with Chae Ok, recognizes her instantly, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown.
Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 promises to delve deeper into the fates of Ho Jae and Chae Ok, while the battle between Kuroko and Seung Jo brings a fresh wave of mystery and tension to the screen.
Fans won’t have to wait long, as Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 premieres exclusively on Netflix on September 27th.
