Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam is officially beginning her career as an actress.
Management Koo announced on June 16th that they had signed an exclusive contract with Kim Garam.
The agency explained, “We’ve been following Kim Garam’s YouTube activities for some time and were impressed by both her potential as an actress and her strong work ethic. Her consistent effort and growth in pursuing her dream played a major role in our decision to sign her.”
Management Koo also praised her dedication to self-improvement, saying, “Kim Garam has been actively training and studying to develop her acting skills, and she’s shown remarkable progress in a short amount of time.” The agency added, “She continues to challenge herself in new areas, spending time learning English and Japanese while also teaching herself how to play the guitar.”
The company continued, “We highly valued her commitment to improving herself and the amount of time and effort she has devoted to preparing for her dream of becoming an actress.” They added, “After careful consideration, we concluded that she has tremendous potential for future growth, which led us to sign an exclusive contract with her.”
The agency also stated, “We will fully support Kim Garam as she expands her activities and takes on new opportunities.”
Kim Garam debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM in May 2022 but left the group shortly after amid school bullying allegations. At the time, she strongly denied the claims, stating, “I have never used violence against anyone. I was never forced to transfer schools. I have never smoked or consumed alcohol. I have never bullied or excluded anyone.”
Since then, Kim Garam has stayed connected with fans through her YouTube channel, where she has shared glimpses of her daily life, including studying at university, attending acting classes, and preparing for her future career.
