Tiffany Young is opening up about why she decided to marry Byun Yo Han.
The Girls’ Generation member and actress appeared on the June 15th episode of SBS’ variety show Uh, But Like Seriously! alongside Kim Ye Won, her co-star in the musical Yumi’s Cells.
During the episode, Tak Jae Hoon said he had always wondered which Girls’ Generation member would get married first. Tiffany replied, “I was No. 1.”
Tiffany shared that she had always been a serious planner and was very focused on her career, adding that marriage had not been part of her plans. “But my thoughts changed when I met my husband on the project,” she said.
Explaining why she chose to marry Byun, Tiffany said, “I had found a rhythm in my own life, but I started wanting to share that with him, too.”
“My husband is very steady, so I feel secure when he leads me,” she continued. “He’s clear in his actions, responsible and someone I can rely on, so I became sure that he was the one for me.”
Tiffany also shared a small glimpse into their newlywed life. “Sometimes I can’t hear my husband’s voice at home,” she said. “I could call him out, but for some reason, I don’t want to, so I call him instead. When I do, he comes to wherever I am.”
Tiffany and Byun Yo Han confirmed last December that they were dating with marriage in mind. They registered their marriage in February and are now legally married.
A wedding date has not been set. Byun’s agency, Team Hope, said there are currently no confirmed details on the time or location, but the couple is carefully considering a small, worship-style ceremony with their families.
