Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee have called it quits after just two weeks of public dating.
Their whirlwind romance ended in wounds after it was met with immediate controversy due to cheating rumors, leaving both stars with bruised images. Their slated co-starring film, Delusion (working title), now faces an uncertain future.
Both Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee’s agencies, C-JeS Entertainment and Nine Ato Entertainment, confirmed the breakup on March 30th. They cited prioritizing their acting careers as the reason, stating the couple “realized that their roles as actors are more important and promised not to let personal matters affect them anymore.”
Han So Hee’s side specifically apologized for her social media activity during the relationship’s reveal and subsequent breakup. They acknowledged it made things difficult and promised to reflect on her communication style.
However, even before the breakup announcement, Han So Hee drew criticism for uploading a photo on her blog showing Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman leaving the courthouse after her divorce from Tom Cruise. Ryu Jun Yeol also could not avoid the damage to his image as he was forced to publicly disclose the rough breakup process with his lover.
The fallout extends to their potential co-starring role in the movie Delusion. Showbox, the film’s production company, remains tight-lipped on casting, but industry insiders believe it’s unlikely for both actors to star in the film. “It seems that it will not be easy for either of them to appear in the film, as it is already known that the two were supposed to appear in it together,” said one insider.
