Four K-pop acts made it into the top 10 of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry’s (IFPI) 2023 Global Artist Chart.
SEVENTEEN came in at number 2, Stray Kids at number 3, TOMORROW X TOGETHER at number 7, and NewJeans at number 8, according to Global Artist Chart 2023 released by IFPI on its official website on February 21st.
This marks a significant increase from 2022 when three K-pop groups—BTS, SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids—made it to the top 10. The addition of TXT and NewJeans to the list demonstrates the continued growth and popularity of K-pop around the world.
SEVENTEEN has been steadily rising up the ranks since first entering the chart at number 9 in 2021. Stray Kids has also seen impressive growth, entering the top 3 just one year after their first appearance on the chart.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER and NewJeans are both newcomers to the chart, making their debut in the top 10 just a few years after their debut.
The top spot on the chart was taken by American pop star Taylor Swift.
