Jung Yoo Min on what it’s like kissing Sung Hoon for Perfect Marriage Revenge

Jung Yoo Min played Han Lee Joo, a woman who chose marriage to seek revenge for her family, in an MBN weekend mini-series titled Perfect Marriage Revenge.

Looking back on the kissing scene with Sung Hoon who played her romantic interest Seo Do Gook, she said, “We rehearsed the scene a few times, and then went straight into the kissing scene. It was the first scene of Lee Joo expressing her feelings to Do Gook in the drama, and there was a genuine immersion in that moment. Viewers asked how it happened so fast as the scene was in the show’s second episode. The chemistry between us was intense. I love that scene.”

Commenting on the more intense scenes towards the end of the show, she added, “I joked with Sung Hoon that he should work out more as there are more scenes where he has to appear sexy.”

Ahn Bo Hyun shared the awkward moment he had to kiss his best friend Kim Go Eun for Yumi’s Cells Season 2 when he guested on Strong Heart VS.

Talking about the much talked about kiss scene, Ahn Bo Hyun recalled, “Kim Go Eun and I are best friends, so I just thought it’s time to work.” 

The actor also revealed how he normally prepares for kiss scenes. He said, “I’m pretty sure every actor makes sure to brush their teeth before any shoot involving kissing. As for me, I used to go the extra mile and drank a whole bottle of mouthwash. That is until I got sick, so I had to put a stop to that.”

Im Soo Hyang on her kiss scene with Cha Wun Woo in Gangnam Beauty 

Im Soo Hyang talked about the hot onscreen kiss she shared with Cha Eun Woo in the 2018 drama Gangnam Beauty when she guested KBS’ Problem Child in House.

Im Soo Hyang shared, “We shot the kiss scene for two days,” and explained that the constant rotation of angles and numerous rehearsals made her lips numb and swollen.

She also revealed she had paid extra attention to her beauty routine while filming the drama with Cha Eun Woo. “I’m seven years older than Cha Eun Woo, but I had to portray a character who is the same age as him. I went through things like mini-facelifts and laser treatments to maintain a youthful appearance for the role.”

BIBI on The Worst Evil kiss with Ji Chang Wook

Singer and actor BIBI shared the story behind her kiss scene with Ji Chang Wook in the Disney Plus original series The Worst Evil. She played Haeryeon, a Chinese drug distributor, who captivates Junmo (Ji Chang Wook) in the drama.

BIBI said, “It was my first kiss scene. I scrubbed my teeth extra hard for Ji Chang Wook.” She continued, “Even though he didn’t say anything, I was kinda nervous he might remember me in a not-so-great way, so it was a bit of a nerve-wracking experience.” She humorously added that their romance felt more like they were in ‘big trouble’ than experiencing something rosy and dreamy.

Lee Se Young’s shocking behind the scene secrets on her onscreen kiss

Lee Se Young appeared on YouTube show “DEX’s Cold Interview” and shared how she prepares for kissing scenes. She explained, “Most actors brush their teeth and gargle before a kiss scene. But for me, if I ever get hungry during shooting, I go for Yukgaejang, that spicy beef stew. And I share a spoonful with my co-star. Then we can kiss because we’ve shared the same food.”

Lee Se Young jokingly continued, “I might grab a mint if we’ve been shooting for five hours.”

Yoo Yeon Seok on how he prepares for a TV kiss

Yoo Yeon Seok shared his unique approach to preparing for kiss scenes during his appearance on YouTube show “TEO TEO” on December 5, 2023. He revealed sharing a glass of wine is his secret to creating a relaxed atmosphere on the set.

Yoo Yeon Seok explained, “It’s about making it enjoyable so that we can start the scene in a fun and relaxed way. Sharing a glass of wine helps to ease down the nerve.”

When asked by Lee Sung Min if he brushes his teeth and gargles before the kiss scene, Yoo Yeon Seok jokingly replied, “Of course I do,” with a smile.

Park Bo Young on how she prepared for her onscreen kiss with Jo Jung Suk in Oh My Ghost

Park Bo Young guested on the YouTube variety show MMTG to promote her 2023 movie Concrete Utopia with Park Seo Joon and Lee Byung Hun. During the interview, she looked back on her first kiss scene with Jo Jung Suk in Oh My Ghost and admitted that she was super nervous about the scene.

“I was so nervous because it was my first kiss scene. I researched angles and put a lot of thought into how I should kiss on a cable TV show. Actors on national TV do it pretty intensely, so I had to think about how we should do it on our show as Oh My Ghost was one of the first TV dramas aired on tvN,” she said while admitting that those studies became helpful for her future acting projects.

Cha Eun Woo on kissing a real dog for A Good Day to Be a Dog

Cha Eun Woo revealed what it was like kissing a real dog for MBC drama A Good Day to Be a Dog. Guesting on MBC’s FM4U radio show hosted by Jaejae with his fellow co-stars Park Gyu Young and Lee Hyun Woo, he shared, “I had to kiss a dog for the drama and she just didn’t like it.”

He humorously added, “I applied dog treat inside my mouth to make it lick me. It was the first time in my life that I tasted dog food. I felt like I became a dog.”
