Jessica has found herself at the center of online buzz after a short video filmed at an airport began making the rounds.
The clip, reportedly taken on June 12th at Shanghai Airport in China, shows the former Girls’ Generation member walking through the airport as fans greet her.
At one point, Jessica briefly stops and appears to gag, prompting a wave of speculation online. Some even wondered whether her reaction had been caused by the smell of the crowd around her.
Some viewers defended Jessica, writing that it could happen to anyone in a packed space and that it looked like a natural reaction she had been trying to hold back. Others, however, felt the moment could easily be misunderstood in front of fans, with some calling the reaction excessive.

The clip also sparked speculation on overseas online communities and social media that there may have been an unpleasant smell at the scene, though no clear evidence has surfaced to support the claim.
As the debate grew, Jessica addressed the moment during a live broadcast. She explained that she had been talking to a fan whose birthday it was and asked how old they were.
“They said they were 21,” Jessica said. “That’s so young, isn’t it? I was surprised and said, ‘How do you even know me?'”
