Lee Jun Young has personally announced that he will be enlisting in the military through a handwritten letter.
On the 14th, he posted a long handwritten note on his social media to directly inform fans about the news.
In the letter, he said he had been thinking for months about how to start the message, adding, “I’ve rewritten this about 10 times.”
He explained that he wanted to tell fans himself instead of having them find out through news articles.
He then shared the news directly, saying, “I never thought I’d be the one saying this, but yes, I will enlist on July 21st.”
Lee Jun Young also shared how he felt, saying that before knowing the exact date, he thought it was “no big deal,” but once the date was set, he started thinking about it more seriously.
He also said he spent a lot of time figuring out how to tell his fans, whom he lovingly calls his “teachers.”
“As I write this, I feel a little lighter,” he added.
At the end of the letter, he promised to return safely and wished fans happiness and good health until they meet again. He also thanked them for always supporting him.
He finished with a playful message: “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year x2,” showing his sense of humor.
Meanwhile, Lee Jun Young is currently appearing in the drama Reborn Rookie and will begin his military service on July 21st.

I’ve spent months thinking about where to start this story, and after much thought, I decided to write it myself.

I thought it would be better to share this news directly rather than through an article, so I’m writing this message myself.
I never thought I would be the one to say something like this.
Yes! I will be enlisting on July 21st.
Before I knew the exact date, I thought, ‘It’s no big deal, I’ll just go.’
