JYP Entertainment’s artists TWICE and Stray Kids have recorded impressive achievements in U.S. CD sales for 2023. According to the year-end report by music data company Luminate (covering from December 30th, 2022, to December 28th, 2023), both groups have seen outstanding sales from their latest albums in the United States.

Stray Kids’ third full album 5-Star marked a significant milestone by selling 520,000 units (based on physical CD sales), securing the second-highest position in the U.S. Top CD Album Sales, just behind Taylor Swift. This achievement makes them the highest-ranking K-pop artists on the list. Additionally, the album placed fifth in the combined physical and digital chart, the highest for a K-pop group.

Their mini-album ROCKSTAR also performed exceptionally well, with 381,000 units sold (physical CD sales), ranking fourth in the U.S. Top CD Album Sales and entering the top 10 in the combined physical and digital chart. Notably, Stray Kids is the only K-pop artist to have more than one album chart in both the Top CD Album Sales and Top Album categories, cementing their position as a leading K-pop group.

TWICE, with their album READY TO BE, sold 303,000 units (physical CD sales), placing sixth in the U.S. Top CD Album Sales. Their previous album, BETWEEN 1&2, was the fifth highest-selling group album in the U.S. region in 2022, combining CD sales and digital downloads, as per Luminate’s data.

These achievements underscore TWICE’s consistent global growth in their tenth year since debut. Moreover, TWICE ranked in six different charts in Billboard’s 2023 year-end summary, with READY TO BE and BETWEEN 1&2, including the comprehensive Billboard 200.
