Lee Sun Bin has been confirmed to star in The Hidden Dragon (literal title) as its lead actress.
An insider told JTBC News on the 18th, “Lee Sun Bin will be joining director Lee Myung Woo’s new work The Hidden Dragon as the female lead.”
The Hidden Dragon promises a comic exploration of the stories of charming yet secretive individuals from the Chungcheong Province. It’s a suspenseful youth drama where viewers can experience the nostalgia prompted by the everyday lives of rural high school students and the reminiscent music of the mid to late 1980s.
In the drama, Lee Sun Bin will play the role of Park Ji Young, a famous fighter from Buyeo with the nickname “Black Spider of Buyeo.” She’s a proud fighter who uses her prowess for the sake of the weak and for her own happiness and love.
As previously reported, Yim Si Wan is in talks for the role of the male lead, Jang Byung Tae. It will be interesting to see the synergy between director Lee Myung Woo, known for dramas such as The Fiery Priest, Backstreet Rookie, and One Day, and actors Yim Si Wan and Lee Sun Bin.
