Kim So Yeon shared the story of how she fell in love with her husband, Lee Sang Woo, on tvN’s You Quiz on the Block.
Jo Se Ho asked So Yeon, “How did you start developing feelings for him?” In response, So Yeon explained that they first met on the set of the drama Happy Home.
She said, “We had a gathering with the drama team at the beginning of filming. During dinner, I happened to mention the fried chicken brand I liked. Later, when we had to choose a restaurant for another get-together, he insisted on going to that brand’s restaurant. That’s when I began to feel like he was into me.”
“At the time, I had a crush on him, so I greeted him warmly. But he greeted me back in a nonchalant way. So, I started to distance myself from him mostly due to the filming schedule and didn’t see him for two to three weeks,” she explained.
So Yeon continued, “One morning, I received a call from him. He said he had drunk too much the night before and asked me when we could see each other on set. He told me he had been checking the schedule all the time. At that moment, an acquaintance of his next to him asked me to take good care of him.”
The actress shared, “I didn’t enjoy doing outdoor activities like going out and meeting people besides filming the drama. Sang Woo once told me to cherish myself, not only as an actress but also as an individual. He once brought home maki rolls that resembled a bouquet of flowers. Those little things make me happy.”
